Il regista Jordan Vogt-Roberts e Char, è questo il curioso connubio che ha mandato in delirio i fan di Gundam. In un paio di tweet, infatti, il regista del film Live Action di Gundam (co-prodotto da Legendary e Sunrise, e distribuito da Netflix) ha citato una delle frasi più celebri della Cometa Rossa. La frase in questione (come potete vedere nel tweet quì sotto) è: “La gente della Terra non fa altro che inquinarla. Le loro anime sono appesantite dalla gravità.”

La frase viene detta dal leader di Neo Zeon nel film Il Contrattacco di Char.
Il film, ambientato nello Universal Century 0093, rappresenta un po’ lo spartiacque dell’UC. Da una parte è la conclusione dell’eterno duello iniziato anni prima tra Amuro e Char, dall’altra è il primo capitolo del progetto NexT 0100.
Il film è stato edito da noi da Dynit, sia in DVD che in DB (qui trovate tutte le edizioni uscite da noi).
In un secondo tweet, Jordan Vogt-Roberts continua a citare Char (e non solo) scrivendo “Seig Zeon” (sbagliando la grafia corretta Sieg Zeon, vabbeh!).

Fatto sta che le allusioni all’Universal Century ci son tutte, e questo lascia ben sperare per il futuro del film.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts fa notare inoltre che il concept art del Gundam rilasciato gironi fa (vedi news del 9 novembre) è stato realizzato dal concept artist Stephen Zavala (Industrial Light & Magic).
Zavala ha lavorato ad importanti produzioni cinematografiche quali Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Ad Astra,Pacific Rim: Uprising e Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
